Mark and Alison’s Trail Run Challenge

Here we go again. I will be raising money for Action for Children an amazing charity who do lots of work for the less fortunate children and families. During the pandemic they supported many families in need with food vouchers, paying household bills and general items to get them through the lockdowns.

This year I am running tandem with my colleague Alison who works in the Bridgend Families First Parenting Team. To
start things off I will be running a 15 mile trail run along the South Downs on the 29^th January, this is 2 days before my birthday so instead of gifts any donation to the fundraising page will be greatly appreciated.

I will also being running the Cardiff Half Marathon in October; However the big challenge is on 8^th April 2022 when I will be doing the Beast of Beacons 20 mile run which is not for the faint hearted. Beast of the Beacons Trail Running Challenge 2023 - Running in Llangynidr — Let’s Do This (letsdothis.com)

Alison big challenge is the following week on the 15^th April when she will be running The Vale of Glamorgan Coastal Run which is an 18.5 trail run. Trail and Ultra Running in Wales (runwalkcrawl.co.uk).   Alison will also be running the Cardiff Half Marathon.

In between these events Alison and I will be doing other fundraising activities. Also those who donate to the fundraising page will be entered into a hat for a chance to win a signed Manchester City shirt from England Lioness and Euro 22 winner Lauren Kemp. The draw will be on the 8^th April after the Beast of Beacons challenge
