The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, including JDRF, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income.

Many charities are asking participants to take part in a 2.6 challenge on what would have been London marathon day. Instead of supporting other JDRF runners in London, I have decided to bring Rufus out of retirement and do my bit. I am hoping to complete a 26.2km "We're going on a bear hunt" challenge on Sunday 26th April. I will be running around the streets of our village so if you see me shout "Go Rufus go!!"

JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) give all newly diagnosed children a Rufus bear and his patches show a child where they can finger prick or inject insulin.

We'd be very grateful for any donation.
