This year on the 4th May I will be joining 30 of my colleagues at Tusker to complete the Tough Mudder.  In its own words:

"Tough Mudder events are hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle courses designed by Special Forces to test your all round strength, stamina, determination and camaraderie."

Those of you who know we well will realise that I've never done anything remotely like this in my life before!  

The reason I'm putting myself through this is for a great cause.  Shortly before I joined Tusker David's daughter, Beth Hosking, lost her fight against leukaemia.  She died on 20th December 2011 at the tender age of 22 after a long and hard fight against the illness.  I met Beth only once (before she fell ill) and was struck by how easy going, kind natured and well rounded she was.  So I'm joining in with my colleagues and doing what we can to help others who are, and will be, struck by cancer at such a young and delicate age.

Please give generously and help me reach my goal.  If nothing else you'll be safe in the knowledge that you've paid for me to get covered in mud, frozen in ice cold water, running through fire, electrocuted, crawling through underground trenches and thoroughly knackered!

Now that's got to be worth paying good money for!
