Trailwalker 2021
Campaign by Oxfam GB (RCN 202918)
Trek 100km across the South Downs in under 30 hours and help end poverty with every step. Trailwalker is a unique opportunity to put your mind and body to the test. Is your team ready to take on the challenge?

Story

Trailwalker UK supports the incredible work of both Oxfam Great Britain and The Gurkha Welfare Trust. The event started out as a military training exercise in Hong Kong in 1981 along the Maclehose trail, organised by the Queen’s Gurkha Signals. The exercise sought to test the endurance and teamwork of soldiers over a long and arduous course. In 1986, Trailwalker was opened to civilian participation for the first time, and now, following the move of the Queen’s Gurkha Signals to the UK, Trailwalker UK takes place across the South Downs.

We took part in 2015, aiming to walk 100km in under 24 hours. This turned out to be a bit ambitious, as we barely crawled over the finish line after 29 hours. Time for round two...
