Story

This year, I was aiming to complete both the British Heart Foundations' London to Brighton road and offroad events, and fortunately I have now finished both challenges.

The first took place on 19 June 2022, starting at Clapham Common and after  53 miles reached Brighton seafront with the minor obstacle of Ditchling Beacon in between.  This was completed in a time of 3hours and 25 minutes.

The second event took place on 17 September 2022, starting in Walton-on-Thames (not strictly London) on a frosty morning and was offroad all the way to Brighton, with three rather big ascents (two North Downs and one South Downs), over 61 miles. The ride was completed in just under six hours of pedalling time.  The weather was very kind with bright sunshine (not too hot) and not too much of any wind.  It was great to see Brighton from the top of the south downs and enjoy a cold beverage at the Beach.

I am only looking for one donation for both events, as I am only raising money for the British Heart Foundation at these events.  Therefore, double the pain (for me) and one donation for this worthy charity and all the work that they do.

I appreciate any support that you can give in these challenging times.
