Rob Burrows Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Β· 7 August 2021
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
No Rugby League fan can have escaped the sad news that Rob Burrow has been diagnosed with MND... but Rob has risen to the challenge head on like he did for many years on the pitch, with strength, determination and with the cheeky smile (often seen as he slid in for a try at the Wheldon Road end).
Rob has helped raise the profile of MND both within the Rugby League family and across the nation.
To help raise funds and awareness we will be undertaking various challenges; including β#Magnificent7RunforRobβ which took place on the 20th December... with a number of runners and walkers taking part, doing their bit a spread that Christmas cheer! 7 in 7 challenge... which saw Mark run for 7 days a week for 7 week covering 477km, averaging just under 10k a day (original target was 7k) ! Which started on the 30th November... until the 17th January 2021... joined by friends and family on occasion along the way ππ§‘

Further challenges will vary some tough, some will require team work and some fun which will hopefully put a smile on Rob and his beautiful familyβs faces along with others suffering from MND.
Please give what you can but we appreciate times may be hard for some... What we ask for most of all is to help us raise awareness.
Thank you
