I've decided to run the Hackney Half Marathon for Skyway to help support the work they are doing to help disadvantaged and at risk young in any aspects of their lives in Hackney and beyond.

I've signed up last minute to help out a friend and with only 5 weeks to go I'm not leaving myself anywhere near enough time to train. Surely donating a couple of £s is far easier that putting yourself through 13.1 miles of pain.

With a lot of the disadvantaged kids ending up involved in the escalating knife crime in the capital any work that leads them away from that is hugely beneficial. Having been a victim of knife crime myself with almost deadly consequences I am fully aware of the impact this can have.
