Story

Myself and John Monahan will be making a 40k crossing of the Irish Sea on the 13th of June. I will be doing the paddle in Honour of my late Dad Michael Walton and am hoping to raise some funds for the Irish Heart Foundation. It’s the culmination of 9 months training through the winter in freezing conditions in the north Atlantic. Its also part of a personal journey, which is some ways started with my fathers passing. My brother Neil Walton encouraged me to start open water swimming following my dads passing and evolved into prone paddling with my good friend John. I hope for nothing more than your encouragement and I am grateful for anything.
