Story
Sometimes people you meet, even only for a fleeting moment, can leave an impression on you and make you consider life and how amazing, yet fragile it is.
Sometimes you don't even have to meet them.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Lauren Sophie Tranter, but I heard so much about her from her very proud Aunty Emily.

Lauren lost her fight with Mitochondrial Disease in October 2011. If you want to find out about what Mitochondrial Disease is go here:

Currently, there is no cure for Mitochondrial Disease, but The Lily Foundation is trying to change this. The charity has a three-point mission:
· Fund research to improve diagnosis and treatment options,
· Raise awareness of these conditions so they are more easily recognised,
· Support families with sick children.
So, this is where we come in - me and you!
I've pulled the short straw and so I’m doing the energetic bit – the running a casual 26.2 miles through the streets of London on April 21st this year. I very much hope you will feel able to do the financial bit and consider sponsoring me some money.
If it’s 10p, £10 or £10,000 I don’t mind (well I wouldn’t complain if a couple of £10,000 donations turned up...) anything and everything will be very much appreciated!
Donate on here or text (only from the UK) MWDW87 and then the amount you want to donate (£1, £2, £5, £20 etc.) to 70070
eg. MWDW87 £5
Thanks very much!
Merci d’avance !
