This will be my first ever run/race and I'm doing it in memory of my good friend, Ben Vernon, a wonderful man, who was cared for by Cavendish Cancer Care when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. 

Cavendish offers free support for cancer patients and their families. They supported more than 1,900 families in 2018, but they only receive enough statutory funding to keep their doors open for two weeks each year.
