Story

I'm really pleased to be joining the Buttle UK team for the Italian Job 2019 with my co-driver David Rushton. We're one of nearly 100 teams doing stages of the 2019 Italian Job Rally, raising funds for the children and young people Buttle UK supports.  I'm paying all my own expenses so that 100% of the money raised by me will go directly to the charity.

The Italian Job is a two-week motor rally that combines adventurous, off the beaten track motoring through Europe to Italy in support of the children's charity Buttle UK and their 'Chances for Children' Campaign. Participants raise funds to help children in poverty and over the years the Italian Job has raised nearly £3 million for disadvantaged children. This year the event is a big one because  it celebrates 30 years since the Rally was first set up by mother and son team Freddie and Guilia St George. My wife Elaine and I took part in the first event 30 years ago (see pic).  This year also coincides with the 50th Anniversary of the iconic film starting Michael Caine and celebrates 60 years since the first Mini rolled of the production line so it's a year of anniversaries all round!

Many thanks for your support!
