Kiota is an independent charity set up to raise project specific funds for Kiota Womens Health and Development (KIWOHEDE), a Tanzanian organisation working for the rights, health and development of women and children in Tanzania. Over the last 12 months, Kiota has funded: Four full time teachers, including a head teacher Stationary and teaching aids A snack and light lunch for the students and staff Social work outreach and student welfare costs, including medical costs Electricity and water Two security guards 20 sets of essential school books Building maintenance School trips, including for sport and core subjects Travel to a residential maths camp
