We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

We probably all know someone who has or has had cancer.
In the last 4 and a half years our family has been affected by cancer, Claire's mum passed away from ovarian cancer, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer,  my step mother has secondary breast cancer and close friends have also been affected.

Cancer is a disease that we desperately need to get under control. This can only be done through public donations to cancer charities. Cancer charities don't receive any funding from our government.

Those that know me well know that I was very sporty a while ago, well, 30 years ago! A marathon is a massive challenge for me but nothing compared to the challenge that faces cancer sufferers and their families.

I've been training since July and after a run of injuries, (my mind can do it but my 47 year old legs think otherwise!) I'm now in a good position to push on to 26 miles.

Please help me achive my goal.

Any donation will be gratefully received.

Thanks

 Mark
