Story

Thanks for visiting my Just Giving page. Once again, I'm raising money for LINC, the Leukaemia Intensive Care facility in Cheltenham.

If you've linked here from our website, you'll know all about the event but if you haven't, AFTER you've donated, please have a look at www.capeepic.co.uk.

Greg & I completed our first major mountain bike race competing in Transrockies 2007 in Canada. This was a seven day off-road race across over 600km. We learned an awful lot in that race, sadly, not enough common sense to never do something as foolish again !

This time it's Cape Epic 2010, recognised as one of the hardest mountain bike marathons in the world. It takes place out of Cape Town in South Africa, over eight consecutive days covering 722km and more painfully, climbing over 14,000 vertical metres in the process. That'll be similar to cycling up and then down Everest not once but twice !

We've been training hard almost since we finished Transrockies in August 2007. Along the way Greg has represented Team GB in the world Duathlon championships in North Carolina and Mark achieved two podium places in the Bristol 12 hour and the Cheddar 10 hour solo races in the Masters category. Together we won silver in the Endurance Life off-road triathlon in Devon last year. So, hopefully, we're in pretty good shape.

Once again, thanks for stopping by and PLEASE, feel free to pass this link or our website details to anyone that might be interested.
