Story

Mum and dad. You only have one set. So when they die early, both from cancer, it makes you think about your own future and what you can do to help others.

I walked the Macmillan Yorkshire 3 Peaks last year as a personal challenge as I'm a BOGOF - a Big Old Git Over Fifty - in memory of my parents and to help Macmillan help others.

This year is the same. Plus, it will be great to catch up with friends and colleagues from last year's walk.

So if you know someone who is suffering or who suffered from cancer, you can help me help them, by sponsoring me. Every step of the 25 miles helps me to help them.

When I'm finding it tough, when I see the seemingly impossible height of the next mountain, hill climb to come, and when my legs are like lead and my resolve needs strengthening - your sponsorship will help keep me going.

Thank you for your support
