Story

💙 100 Push-Ups a Day for Mind 💪

30 days. 3,000 push-ups. One important cause. And a questionable amount of 80s Lycra. 😂

This November, I'm taking on the challenge of doing 100 push-ups every single day to raise money for Mind, a charity doing vital work supporting people experiencing mental health problems.

It'll be tough, but that's a small challenge compared to what so many people face every day when they're struggling with their mental health.

🚨 THE £250 CHALLENGE: THINGS ARE ABOUT TO GET VERY TIGHT! 😂

Now, every challenge needs a little extra motivation, right?

If we hit £250 in donations, I'm ditching my dignity and squeezing myself into some proper 80s aerobics gear for the remainder of the challenge!

We're talking pink Lycra, sweatbands, questionable fashion choices and 100 push-ups a day in all their retro glory. 🕺

I'll do the push-ups. You help raise money for Mind. And together, we can make a difference while potentially creating some photographic evidence that should probably never see the light of day.

Let's hit £250. For Mind. For mental health. And, frankly, for the entertainment. 😂

Don't worry, I won't be clogging up your feed every day with push up videos, but certainly will be trying to add some fun along the way - If we surpass the target, expect videos in lycra in various places around Brighton. Outfit has potentially already been chosen!

Why Mind?

Mental health deserves just as much attention, understanding and care as our physical health. Yet so many people still suffer in silence, feeling they have to put on a brave face, carry on regardless, or face their struggles alone.

I've become a Mental Health First Aider because I believe that listening, understanding and simply being there for someone can make a real difference. Sometimes, you don't need to have all the answers. You just need to create a space where someone feels safe enough to say they're not okay, without fear of judgement.

Life can be complicated. We all face challenges, and we never really know what someone else might be going through behind the scenes. That's why it's so important to look out for one another, break down the stigma surrounding mental health, and make sure people know that support is available.

You don't have to pretend you're fine. You don't have to have everything figured out. And you don't have to face things alone. 💙

Every donation can make a difference

Here's where your support really counts:

💙 £11 could help Mind's Infoline answer one enquiry from someone trying to work out what to do next.

💙 £110 could help ensure 10 people in urgent need can speak to a helpline adviser for guidance and reassurance.

Just think about that. A donation that might seem small to us could help someone take an important first step towards finding support when they need it most.

Every pound counts, and every donation, however big or small, is hugely appreciated.

If you can spare a few pounds, I'd be incredibly grateful for your support. If you can't donate, sharing this page or helping start a conversation about mental health would mean a lot, too.

Thirty days. 3,000 push-ups. Hopefully a lot of money raised for a brilliant cause and possibly the return of 80s Lycra.

Let's keep talking, keep looking out for each other, and help make sure nobody feels they have to struggle alone.

Thank you for supporting me and Mind. Every donation really does count. 💙💪
