Let me tell you a little bit about Colel Chabad (Eshel) from my perspective.  This summer as a family, we  visited one of their 50 soup kitchens in Israel  (see photo).  This particular one was in Ramla - an extremely deprived area close to Ben Gurion Airport.

We helped to serve about 100 people with their only hot meal of the day.  Later on we witnessed the distribution of monthly staple supplies at a food distribution centre in Jerusalem. 

We were overwhelmed by the  dignity and respect shown to these people in such desperate straits.
