Story

On 14th May, Mark and Ben will be playing in a rugby match for the TeamLuke Foundation against a North East Barbarians XV. The following morning they will set off cycling to Saumur RUFC in the Loire Valley, France - a journey of over 500 miles to be completed in 6 days. The following Saturday they will meet up with their TeamLuke Foundation team mates to play against Saumur RUFC.

The Team Luke Foundation is a registered charity set up as a legacy to Luke Bell, an inspirational 8 year old Darlington boy who died from Neuroblastoma in December 2018, only 21 months after his original diagnosis. Its aim is to make more people aware of this childhood cancer, help parents access key services & information, provide practical support, & fund research to improve diagnosis & develop kinder treatment. It’s a daunting list but Luke’s parents, Mark & Becky Bell, are determined to do all they can to make a difference in Luke’s name.
