In , street kids are known as 'Buyaaye' - which means 'street-rats' or literally 'vermin'. RETRAK has proved that with the right care & approach these kids can be helped to realise their potential, discover their worth & discover an alternative to living on the streets. Initial contact is made through football training, feeding programmes & medical clinics. But the real aim is to help kids return to their families if possible. Where there's been abuse or the family is unwilling or unable to have the child back, RETRAK finds new families through their foster care scheme.
