Story

It has been a year now since Josh lost his mum and I lost my wife to cancer. He has shown such incredible resilience over that time, growing in confidence every day and developing into a young man fuelled by the values his mum and I shared. We miss his mum always, Josh sleeping with a picture of her under his pillow every night.

Vicki spent her last days in the care of the Princess Alice Hospice. They provided incredible support and compassion to her during that time and continue to provide support for Josh and I now and for as long as we need them. They are an incredible organisation that bring light to some of peoples darkest days.

In memory of his mum and the care of the Princess Alice Hospice Josh is running his first ever 5k at the Bushy Park Santa Fun Run. He is a veteran of the 2k junior parkrun but to more than double the distance will be quite a challenge.

It costs PAH £9.9 million each year to provide free, high quality specialist end of life care to tens of thousands of people with life threatening illnesses. They rely on wonderful supporters like you to help them generate thousands of pounds through participating in the Santa Fun Run.

Please dig deep and give what you can.
