Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I am able to, I raise money for my mothers tribute fund for MNDA in memory of my mother, Jenny Green. On this occasion I have been training to ride the Prudential Ride London on Sunday 31 July 2016.
This ride, celebrates the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey's stunning countryside.
My mother, was diagnosed with motor neurone disease in July 2009. She struggled to resist it for some three and a half years before passing away in December 2012.
This disease slowly removed the ability for her to do the things she loved; sailing, cycling, playing with her 13 grandchildren and the things we all take for granted like, walking, talking and eating. She lived with the disease with amazing strength and inner fortitude; she was an amazing person and will continue to be an inspiration to our whole family and friends. We miss her every day and wish she was here to see my children grow up and meet our newest addition, Alissia.
Family members and some of her wonderful friends are raising money for this worthy cause to try and prevent other families suffering like we have as we try and come to terms with our loss.
If you can, please give generously to this vital association (the only one who focusses on MND) to help continue their funding into research into this disabilitating disease and providing support for sufferers and carers.
