Story

On 21st November, I will be sleeping outdoors for one night alongside other fellow business leaders, business owners, execs and directors as we unite together to help in the fight against homelessness.

I will be giving up the comfort of my warm bed to raise funds for ‘Walking with the Wounded’ a leading military charity that I’m proud to be partnered with at Schroders Personal Wealth.

Walking With The Wounded gets those who have served and their families back on their feet.  Whether mentally, socially or physically wounded, the charity helps deliver the care and support that these people need to function in society, serving in the communities in which they live, reigniting their sense of purpose and making a positive contribution again.

The charity does four things: employment, mental health, care coordination and volunteering which are saving jobs, homes, relationships and lives for the veterans who are struggling since leaving the military.

In 2021, WWTW supported 3,009 veterans!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure:

  • £10 can pay for a train ticket to get to a job interview
  • £30 could pay for a pair of boots to enable a veteran to work on a construction site
  • £86 will fund a 1-2-1 mental health therapy session which can save a job, relationship, home or life

Nobody can give everything, but everyone can give something so please donate what you can.

Thanks

Mark
