Story
On 29 October, I will be running Dublin City Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Care. In this part of the world, one person is diagnosed with breast cancer every ten minutes. One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.
Lucy, my wife, had an elective double mastectomy this year, and it’s made me acutely aware of how real these numbers are- we all know someone who has been affected in some way by breast cancer.
Running 26.2 miles will be tough, but I will take inspiration on every one of the 138,000 feet from the people that have come through much longer, and much more difficult journeys in beating breast cancer.
Any support would be massively appreciated,
Mark
