Story

I am running in the North Pole Marathon in April 2006 to raise money for the Cambridge Cancer Help Centre, a charity of which I am a long standing Trustee. The Centre is embarking upon a 3 year fund raising campaign with a target of £500,000 in an effort to acquire permanent premises, or to cover future rental, thereby ensuring the long-term continuation of the Centre's work into the future. The North Pole Marathon of 26.2 miles will take place at the geographical north pole. A field of up to 50 adventure athletes from around the globe will assemble for the event, making it the biggest polar race in history.
