Story
It’s not every day you agree to strip off and roll in the snow. The
forfeit was set by my good friend and BBC Radio Gloucestershire presenter Mark Cummings after I somewhat foolishly claimed on air that all the winter snow had disappeared. Of course, I was wrong and had to pay the price.
And although it’s not something I am planning to repeat again in a hurry, I am delighted to be raising some money through your generous sponsorship for Sue Ryder which provides vital hospice and neurological care.
I have a very personal and heartfelt reason for supporting this incredible charity. At the start of 2018 my brother Stephen lost his brave battle against cancer. He was only 55. Although
Stephen never stayed at Sue Ryder, the staff gave me guidance and support as I helped my brother on his final journey. They explained how to handle my own grief at a time of great distress.
It was invaluable and I can’t thank the marvellous and caring people at
Sue Ryder enough. Thanks to everyone for giving so generously to this very special charity.
