Story

Our beautiful, kind and gentle mother was taken from us on the 29th December 2021.   She was everything to us, she was gentle and strong, loving and kind.

In October 2020, she became unwell and went into hospital.  Whilst in hospital she contracted Covid.  Since then her physical and mental health suffered, so we moved her closer to me (her daughter) in October 2021.   Mum chose a lovely ground floor flat, really close to my house.    This was supposed to be a new start for her, with help I truly believed that mum could start to get her life back.  Sadly my mum only had 10 weeks in her new home.

We didn't know at first why she passed away, it was so sudden.   I was with her the evening before with my 3 year old daughter.  We were chatting, and my daughter was making her laugh.  Mum was found to have hypertension and hypertensive heart disease.

One key objective for Chest, Heart and Stroke, Scotland is prevention.  I believe that mums death may have been prevented, but it is sadly too late for my mum.  Please donate in her name to help prevent others from being taken too soon.  If you have any stories to share about our mum, we would love to read them too.
