Story
Last year our lives ground to a halt as my fiancé Amanda and I tragically lost our twin boys Marley and Jack, and our daughter Ayla lost her two baby brothers who were both born sleeping.
It’s been an incredibly difficult time for our entire family but in our darkest moments there was a shining light in Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Martin House is a hospice that supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions as well as offering bereavement support for families following the death of a child. We have been absolutely blown away with the amount of love and support provided by everyone associated with Martin House and we will be forever indebted to them. The incredible services they are able to offer costs in excess of £9 million which is heavily dependent on volunteering, fund-raising and donations.
So to mark the one year anniversary of our loss, I will be taking on the Great North Run along with both my brothers James and Alex who have recently started running in order to support me. We are aiming to raise as much money as possible in memory of Marley and Jack, to thank Martin House for everything they have done for us and help them to continue supporting families like ours in the future because honestly, I don’t know where we’d be without them.
Any amount you are able to give would mean the world to us. Thank you 🕊 🤍
In loving memory of Marley and Jack Etherington. You will always be a special part of our family and will live on forever in our hearts. For as long as we live, you will live too.
