Drought drives people to the brink. Storms tear families apart. Raging waters show no mercy. In Kenya the climate crisis has made weather more extreme, whether long drought or relentless rainstorms. Join us this Christian Aid Week (10th -16th) May!

Story

Here's a cool way to raise funds during this year's Christian Aid Week, without even leaving your home. Join the Great Christian Aid Psalmathon, being organised by the churches in Marlow (Bucks) on Sunday 16th May from 12 noon to approx 7 pm.

During that time, the plan is to read all 150 Psalms live over Zoom. Marlow needs readers to join in and help with this, and readers are strongly encouraged to try and raise at least £20 each through sponsorship! If everyone did that, the event would raise at least £3000, and we hope to smash that!

What do you do to join in? First go to https://tinyurl.com/psalmathon to book your place. You will be asked to specify a one-hour slot during which you will get a chance to read. There is a £5 registration fee. Then, Marlow will send you full details of how to set up a fundraising page linked to Christian Aid, or raise money offline. Nearer the time, they'll also confirm which Psalm / verses you will be reading, and send you the Zoom code for the event.

This is a great new event so tell your church and your friends all about it! And we hope to see you at the Psalmathon on 16th May.
