BUPA Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·
Hello all!
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
We are both very passionate about animals, so giving the oppurtunity to run for the Born Free Foundation, in the worlds biggest half marathon, Bupa's Great North Run is an honour we could not refuse.
The Born Free Foundation is an international wildlife charity working throughout the world to stop individual wild animal suffering and protect threatened species in the wild. Whether its fighting the ivory trade and ‘sport’ hunting, opposing killing wild animals for ‘bushmeat’, or challenging the exploitation of wild animals in zoos and circuses, Born Free takes action on the front line for animals.
So i ask all you good people, please help this work continue and make a donation.
It costs just £5 to buy one day's food for a rescued lion.
£10 could fund a week's medical care for a baby chimp.
£30 could buy a heat pad to keep a sick orphan elephant baby warm.
£15 could buy medicine for a rescued dancing bear.
A small price to pay for the welfare and care of the wildlife we have exploited for so long and brought to the brink of extinction..
Please find it in your hearts to dig deep. Every donation is much appreciated.
Many thanks
Sam and Martin.
