Story

I made an incredibly rash decision in November of last year to enter ‘Race to the Stones’, 100km (66 Miles) over two days   I tend to do these sorts of things and ask WHY ‘later’.   Well the ‘later’ has arrived and believe me I am asking myself WHY?...

I am doing this with other friends in CMAT and the intention
is that we complete the race over two days: Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July.  Training is progressing and the miles are building and that really is where you come in.

I need motivation for this last push and have decided to try
to raise money….

Sport Relief is my chosen charity as I do believe that this
charity ensures a wealth of different organisations, predominately focused on children across the world, benefit from the money.  I am only aiming to raise £425 but more would be great!  Just a few £s from each of you will make a difference to the children and to helping me get through the two sets of 33 miles (50K) on each day.

The race....I'll be following in the footsteps of Vikings, Romans and Royalty, running/walking from the Chilterns all the way to the North Wessex Downs. Not done something like this for a while, a long while as my legs will contest, but I do think this challenge will be both physically and mentally demanding.  However, by taking part I will be supporting children who urgently need help and set them on a path towards a better life.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and your help.
