8 of us will be running 200km through the Richtersveld, the most biodiverse mountain desert on the planet, and the kind of wilderness which is fast disappearing and desperately needs protecting.

Rainforests store billions of tonnes of carbon, helping to mitigate climate change. They are also home to 50% of the world’s species (many of which are endangered) and thousands of indigenous communities rely on these forests for their survival. Yet every day we lose 70,000 acres of rainforest to deforestation. Rainforest Trust has already placed over 38 million acres under permanent protection, and all donations are doubled by a generous supporter.
