Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My challenge started in January 2023 and I am hoping to complete a series of fun, endurance challenges that lead ultimately to me completing an Ironman in Summer 2024.
- Latest challenge: To lead a series of outdoor trips with Glebe students before the summer holidays (2023) culminating in a 3 night trip and summit attempt of Mount Snowdon.
- Last challenge: I have signed up for Doddie Aid with my family as part of the Crabby New Year Challenge. The aim is to do exercise!! and cover as many miles as possible, in any way that I can, by my own steam (no trains, planes or automobiles!!). I have 6 weeks to do it and I hope to raise a little awareness of Motor Neuron Disease at the same time. I have donated to Doddie Aid already - all fundraising on this site will still go to Project Peru. You can track my progress through Strava on this page.
- Warm-up challenges were to complete an ‘Autumn Triathlon’: I swam a mile in Tooting Bec Lido, cycled to Brighton and ran the Ealing Half Marathon
Colaboración is key!
I am fundraising for the amazing people at Project Peru (see Photo Gallery for pics) who inspired us at Glebe school to create our own 'Proyecto Peru' - find out more here: http://www.magicalorangedoorway.co.uk/about-us.html
I'm hoping, on my journey to the Ironman, that I'll take part in loads of fun activities with Glebe students, staff, family and friends. I decided to do this challenge after a recent trip with my Year 10 Geography students to Snowdonia. Seeing 15 successfully reaching the summit of Snowdon was pretty special!
