Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have run a couple of half marathons for the Bobby Moore Fund previously, and after deciding to enter this years Limassol half marathon, I thought it would be a very appropriate charity to support again. Firstly, because it is obviously a fabulous charity, but mainly as a show of support for one of my friends in Pissouri village, Mike Morris. As a lot of you will know, Mike has had a tough time in recent months battling this dreadful disease. The Bobby Moore Fund comes under the Cancer Research umbrella, but its specific aim is tackling bowel cancer. Here's hoping a couple of hours of hard work by myself on 29th March will raise a nice amount of sponsorship to help them with their cause.
