Just before Christmas 2013, my brother Paul passed away.  In his final months he, and our whole family, received fantastic care from St Raphael's. Paul inspired me in many things, and on July 12th I completed a walk from record shop to record shop along a 20-mile stretch of the Wey Navigation, with the much-needed support and very welcome company of Tim, Jacky and Julie, finishing at Record Corner in Godalming - exactly the kind of independent record shop my brothers and I used to haunt in our youth. Paul first sparked what has become a lifelong passion for record collecting; not only did he introduce me to them - he went out of his way to find me copies too. A record shop to record shop walk seems a fitting way to remember my brother.
