Story
As a cyclist there are there are dozens of iconic challenges you can take on. But in the UK, riding the length of the country, from Land's End to John O'Groats is arguably the ultimate test. It's one I've wanted to tackle for years.
Turning 50 seemed like the perfect excuse. So, for 9 days in September, I will pedal 988 miles from one end of the country to the other.
It also feels like a perfect opportunity to do something to help others.
My family has a long association with The Scouts, which exists to support young people. It allows them have fun in a safe environment and helps them gain the skills, confidence and experiences that will set them up for life. All scout groups are run by volunteers and the equipment and facilities they use are funded by donations.
Please help me to support them as they work to give young people those invaluable experiences and treasured memories.
