Pan Celtic Race Series · 2 July 2023

Bourne Scouts give young people lots of opportunities to try new skills and activities through their varied programme and activities. We are currently working hard to modernise and adapt Five Acres Field in Morton to be a meeting place and campsite for our sections, other groups in scouting and Guiding as well as a fabulous resource for other local groups in the area. There is a lot to do to make changes so that the building is fit for purpose as well as making the area safe for the children. Any funds donated will assist our volunteers to build up the field so that it can be used year round to allow young people to have fun, try new things and be outside building friendships which may last a lifetime.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After my efforts last year in London-Edinburgh-London I decided to go across the channel and take part in this self supported Ultra-marathon event. Starting in St. Malo on July 2nd I will complete a circuit of Brittany before catching a ferry from Ouistreham to Portsmouth. From there the course will head for Offa's Dyke and finish in Llandudno. Sourcing my own food and camping along the way adds to the challenge this year so I need your support to keep me on track.

Bourne Scout Group supports both our boys and keeps Carolyn out of trouble for some of the time as a leader for them, and are working hard to refurbish a building between Morton and Haconby for the young people. Having suffered a break in during November when their mower, electric generator and the fuel to power it were stolen, your support will help to get the project back on track.

If you could spare the price of a coffee, we can help to support this group to work with more young people and give them some fabulous memories and experiences along the way.
