Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and support, we will stop prostate cancer being a killer.

Story

A shout out to all my pool playing friends (as well as those who do not play!!) I am organising a charity event to help raise money for prostate cancer research. I have set an initial target of £500. As some of you may be aware, my dad, Steve is battling this illness. Wanting to do something positive to help raise awareness and money, I have decided to organise a 24 hour pool event to be based at the Melton Snooker Club.

It will be starting at 12 noon on the Saturday and finish at 12 noon the following day, of course on the Sunday. The idea will be for people to buy 1 hour slots for £10 (You can buy more than 1 slot) and play as many frames as you can within your time. Games will be 70p each with 50p from each frame being donated to the charity and 20p staying with the club.

My aim personally is to be there for the whole 24 hours playing as much as I can. If this sounds like something that would interest you then please let me know on here so I can get a measure of how many people are likely to come along and support this great cause !!!!!!!

This donation link is for thise of you who may like to donate but may not be able to make the pool event itself.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
