I’m running the 2022 TCS London Marathon for CHUF. This
amazing charity is close to my heart because my daughter was diagnosed with a
congenital heart condition and although she hasn’t required any treatment /
surgery to date, she is regularly reviewed at The Freeman Hospital by Dr
Crossland and his team. CHUF are also the charity that my employer (Collingwood
Business Solutions) have chosen to support this year so as I had a marathon
place anyway, it was a no brainer for me to use the opportunity to raise some
much needed funds. CHUF’s vision is to support pioneering services that will
positively impact heart families, inspire hope and enable Heart Heroes to reach
their full potential. CHUF supports children and families who receive treatment
at the Children’s Heart Unit based at the Freeman Hospital and the many other
hospitals providing care for cardiac patients throughout the North of England.
