Brathay 262 2021 · 10 July 2021 ·
I'm riding the “Brathay 262” in July - 262 miles in the Lake District with 20,000 feet of climbing in 24 hours.
After 15 years running marathons and ultramarathons, I was diagnosed with osteopenia (weak bones) in 2019. This made me prioritise cycling over running in my search for challenges. The Brathay 262 fits perfectly with my goal of challenging myself and pushing my limits, without risk of suffering further fractures.
I’m raising money for the Brathay Trust, a charity that does amazing work across the country helping and supporting vulnerable young people and giving them opportunities to turn their lives around. These are individuals who often face few opportunities and need to find the confidence to find work, training or overcome other significant life challenges.
Please donate any amount, no matter how small, to enable Brathay to continue their excellent work in making life-changing differences to these individuals. Thank you!
