Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There are over 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That’s one stroke every five minutes.
A stroke is a brain attack which happens when the blood supply to part of your brain is cut off. What many don't realise, is that it is the third largest cause of death in the UK.
For survivors, having a stroke can have a sudden and devastating impact on their lives, leaving many disabled and dependent on others. A stroke happens in an instant but its effects can last a lifetime.
So I have decided to raise awareness and funds for this great charity as I have seen first hand how a stroke can massively impact not only suffers lives but also their family and friends.
I will be doing this by completing the Robin Hood half marathon on Sunday 30th September 2018, which I have been training for since the beginning of this year
Thanks in advance for your support and kind donation :)
