Mr Winward’s Headteacher Ultra Challenge - Alderney, Channel Islands
What is it? Complete an Ultra Challenge by covering as many miles as possible in terms of swimming, running and cycling from midnight to 14.39 in the afternoon.
Time: 12.00 midnight to 14.39
Total: 14 hours and 39 minutes
Swim / Run / Cycle
When: Saturday 30 April, 2022
Why: The distance from Alderney to Kyiv is 1,439 miles. We want the children in Alderney to be able to recognise this is not far from their home and island. By covering the same distance in hours it is hoped that we can raise at least this total (or more) in £s to be able to support our friends in Romania who are actively sheltering,
clothing and feeding Ukrainians as they cross the border.
