On my 56th birthday last year a friend of my eldest daughter died from cystic fibrosis at the tender age of 22. I didn't know Sammi but I was deeply moved by the many tributes describing her selflessness and passion for life despite her illness and how she was a real inspiration to others in her short but clearly memorable life. Sammi's ability to inspire lives on as it's motivated me to run my first ever half marathon to raise money for the CFT.
