The charity donation opportunity for 2008 is still available. 

I completed the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday 25th May in time of 4.21. 

I am raising money for the HBOS Million £ challenge charity for 2008 - CLIC Sargent which cares for children with cancer.  Every pound you donate will be matched by the HBOS Foundation

As for the run itself - the first 17 miles were comfortable, the next 5 OK and the final 4 covered in an individual style that mixed running, walking and hopping as I tried to move my ageing legs forward but stop my hamstrings from cramping.

It was a long way, the last bit was "interesting" but I did enjoy the event overall.  A few aches the day after but no harm done.
