During the pandemic Captain Tom stepped up to support the NHS Covid-19 by taking on his famous walk and inspiring millions to donate. We are offering the chance to raise funds in the spirit of Captain Tom for the charity of your choice.

Story

Mental health has become a significant issue for many of us, myself included, during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Covid-19 has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal and inspiring millions to donate to the cause.

I will be celebrating the extraordinary spirit of Captain Tom, together with the incredible example he set and his outstanding achievements, in my way and help my chosen charity.

My sponsored walk will take me from Bridlington, around Flamborough Head, around Filey Bay and to Scarborough along beaches and coastal paths and back.

I will also be honouring the memory of my father-in-law Tom Price who passed away from Covid-19 last year.  Tom is much loved and is sadly missed by all his family.
