Vitality Reading Half Marathon 2015 · 22 March 2015 ·

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. Last year we assisted more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2024 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

I am part of a team of 75 people from across RAF Benson that will be running the Reading Half Marathon on the 22nd March.  Although its not the world's hardest challenge to actually run a half marathon, the actual challenge is raising the money for a great cause.

We're hoping to raise at least £75 each to mark 75 years since the Battle of Britain to raise funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund, a really worthwhile cause that means a lot to members of the RAF worldwide, past and present.

Since it's foundation in 1919, the RAF Benevolent Fund have been there, through thick and thin, supporting the RAF family.

They are there for all serving and former members of the RAF as well as their partners and dependents.  So please dig deep into your pockets and support a worth while cause. Every penny counts!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.  If you'd prefer to donate in person, just get in touch.  And please do come along on the day if you can and support all of the team running in RAF colours!
