When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am taking part in this event as a personal challenge but also in memory of my wife’s Grandad, Peter. Peter had a stroke in September 2007 and unfortunately never really fully recovered. He was truly one of the kindest, most patient and loving people that I ever had the pleasure of meeting and I am proud to say I am part of his family.

Charities such as this one need all the support they can get and any way of raising awareness must be worth a go!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So if you can please dig deep and donate now.
