We are doing a 150 mile coast to coast mountain bike ride over 3 days starting on Friday 19th September for Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.

The ride starts in Whitehaven on the Cumbrian coast(dip rear wheel in Irish Sea) and finishes in Sunderland(dip front wheel in North Sea). There are around 15 of us taking part in the ride, many of whom like myself are bike novices. The route is only suitable for mountain bikes and basically goes through the Lake District and up across the Pennines.

Big L is a  group of local people who have all been touched by major illness to family and friends. Some have lost loved ones, some are still battling and others have survived and come out the other side. 

It's through these experiences that we have pulled together to organise events and challenges to raise money for a charity close to our hearts, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
