Story
Poor Martyn had to pull out on the Physio's advice Saturday, but I completed the run in 5:03. Not my best, but I broke all of my golden rules. On track for 4:30 at half marathon then stopped for the loo and cramp set in, just could not get my legs to work!! Emotional day but amazing and I would do it all again tomorrow for such a wonderful cause. Looks like I'll be doing another one next year with Martyn fully recovered!!
Brighton 2015 will be Martyn's 1st and my 4th Marathon, running in memory, as always, of our beloved Bernie. You would think we would be used to endurance events, with this year being our 25th Wedding anniversary, but honestly the training has been tough. I normally like to run alone and Martyn doesn't like to run at all!
We are extreme grateful for the continuing support of our family and friends who continually dip there hands in there pockets and make it possible for us to raise fantastic amounts each year for St Peter and St James Hospice. Total to date £5668. :)
If you know St Peter and St James or have had any dealings with it you will know what a wonderful place it is and what fantastic facilities they offer. It exudes positive energy and gives incredible support to patients, carers and their families.
