Triathlon for Surfers Against Sewage

Royal Windsor Triathlon 2022 · 12 June 2022 ·
Please help me in raising money to support Surfers Against Sewage, a charity that is fighting to keep UK waters clean and sewage free. The ocean has a special place in my heart, and I have always loved swimming and surfing since I was a kid growing up in California. Unfortunately I also remember what it's like to swim through garbage, or to not be able to swim in the sea due to sewage spills.
Despite the UK being surrounded by water, yet it is consistently ranked as one of the worst European countries for coastal water quality with only 14% of rivers meeting good ecological standards. In 2020 alone there were over 400,000 discharges of untreated sewage into UK rivers and approximately 5,500 discharges into UK coastal bathing waters. It is estimated that in 2019, untreated sewage was released into rivers and streams across the UK for 1.5 million hours.
Clean water is not a luxury, it's a human right! Join me in raising funds to keep the water in the UK clean and safe for humans and animals alike!
