Mum always enjoyed doing puzzles and crosswords and read a lot, but despite the effort to keep mentally active she succumbed to the effects of dementia, which meant in her latter years she needed the support of a care home. 

They were able to offer her specialist support to help minimise the impact thanks to the research and understanding from Alzheimer's charities. We would like to be able to show our appreciation for all this support by fundraising for the Alzheimer's Society.
